15:05 – Meeting beginning. Decided to use Kirkby Lonsdale coach service and that we are willing to make a loss of up to a £100 for the trip. Also decided that we may potentially open up temporary membership to LUGES to allow people not part of the selected societies to go on the trip.

15:06 – Will convert the Alton Towers Risk Assessment form to confirm with the Union’s standards.

15:09 – At the time of the meeting, we have 20 confirmed members of LUGES going on the trip, 2 confirmed from Senet and 10 people that are undecided.

15:10 – Decided that we need confirmation on the actual numbers by the end of the break.

15:11 – Would encourage people to use the LUGES website to let us know if they are able to attend.

15:12 – The booking fee for the trip would also cover the deposit required for the trip.

15:13 – *Times for the trip:

  • Arriving at Alton Towers at 10:05
  • Leaving Alton Towers at 17:00
  • Returning from Alton Towers at 19:30

*All times are currently approximate

15:14 – Clarified that only University members would be able to join, may be problematic for LURPS as some of their members aren’t University students.

15:15 – Need to inquire if anyone going on the trip requires wheelchair access.

15:17 – Need to also clarify safety procedures for the trip.

15:20 – Decided to create a Facebook Messenger group with the core committee members from their respective societies.

15:22 – Exchanged society email addresses.

15:29 – Created Facebook Messenger group.

15:31 – Meeting End.
