Newsletter Week 5, 19-20

Howdy everyone, welcome to the newsletter for Week 5. We’re half-way through the first term so keep up the good work, I guess. Also, major shout-out to everyone that came to the LAN yesterday where we had our first general meeting of the year. It was a pretty big success and wouldn’t have been the same without you guys so cheers. And it wasn’t even as cursed as I originally thought it was going to be so there’s that too.

Now for the weekly line-up. We’ve got:
County Social –Tuesday, 8 pm – 11 pm, County Bar. We’ve not got a theme for this week cause we’re trying something new. Still, come along anyway cause we’re still going to have games.
Smash Weeklies – Wednesday, 6 pm – 10 pm, BNSR 12. My favourite Smash Bros. character is Grimace from the McDonalds ads. Who’s yours?
Wetherspoons Social – Thursday, 7 pm – 10 pm, Wetherspoons. So, it’s finally here, the Wetherspoons Social. I’m not going to lie, this is extremely experimental, so we’ll see how this goes but it’ll be fun so come along.

Bailrigg is happening this weekend too so here’s that super-secret code you can enter in to get £8 off the entry fee, [REDACTED]. You can register here but be quick cause registration ends closes on the 6th https://smash.gg/tournament/bailrigg-9

Fact of the Week: During the early stages of development, Batman: Arkham Asylum was prototyped as a rhythmic action game. The second prototype focused on 2D fighting, which would pop up whenever enemies were engaged and involved coloured circles bashing into each other. Both failed attempts fuelled the basis of the final combat system.

Aight, bye kids,
