Hey everyone! It’s James, your friendly (yet social distanced) neighbourhood general secretary.
Let’s dive into what we have in store this week…
Okay, so um, for some reason, there doesn’t seem to be anything planned for this week. Damn, that’s annoying 🙁
However, I come bearing good news! We aren’t gonna let the current situation stop us from bringing you juicy events. So here’s the news, the exec has been discussing many different things, and we wanted to give you updates:
General Meeting – We initially thought it would be too difficult to host a GM online given the problems it would present. However, you all have been quite vocal that a GM is needed, so we are working on getting one sorted to work online, and we will have a date for you shortly.
Minecraft – You have also been very vocal about our beloved Minecraft server, which is no longer active. Good news, we are planning to bring it back as a vanilla server to ensure as many of you can play as possible. As well as having scheduled Hunger Games events, again dates will be announced soon.
Jackbox – We want to keep you all entertained this term, so we will be running games of Jackbox and streaming them for you all to enjoy from the comfort of your own sofa. More details to come in future announcements.
Hoodies – So… due to evident reasons, LUGES hoodies have been postponed momentarily. We are in no position now to give a date for when they will be available. Sorry.
I apologise these announcements have been somewhat vague, but we wanted to let you know that we are trying our best to give you all fun things to do in these trying times. So with that in mind here is one last announcement:
Discord – Effective on Friday 24th April, we will be opening parts of the server to non-members to join! The #looking-for-games chat will become public, and we will be introducing more new open channels (with additional rules set in place for non-members). More info coming in the next announcement.
Mo used to sign off with a fun fact, but to shake things up imma give you a pro tip!
Pro Tip of the Week: Drink water, breathe air. Don’t get those mixed up.
Stay safe!
James – LUGES General Secretary
