Hey Everyone! Mr General Secretary here!
Here’s a warm welcome to all freshers who have joined us. We hope you enjoyed the events we had to offer in Freshers Week, and it was nice to get to know you all (and develop significant trust issues in Among Us that will last the academic year). Welcome to the LUGES Newsletter, here I shall provide you with important info and the upcoming events in the week.
Just a small but essential announcement first. As you may know, this year is going to be quite different, so we have made the appropriate changes that we think are necessary for the society. We are entirely online for Term 1, and as of now, the fate of Term 2 and 3 are unknown. Because of this, we have decided to introduce Semi-Official events alongside our usual Official Events. These Semi-Official events will not be scheduled, but will instead be created by an exec member who will announce a game that they would wish to play with members, and a date and time of their choosing. We believe this will be a more suitable style of event for an Online Term 1. Exec members will still be present for these events and will moderate as usual.
Now onto the events:
Jackbox Stream – Tuesday 7PM – Once again we be streamin Jackbox on Wednesday evening. Everyone can join, it will be hosted on our Discord and streamed to Facebook.
GMod Trouble in Terrorist Town – Date TBC – Oh what’s this? A brand new GMod Server with amazing mods that may or may not be recognisable from groups who play GMod TTT on YouTube….. this ain’t your average TTT, this be LUGES TTT.
Don’t forget to look out for our Semi-Official events on our Discord Server too as they won’t appear on here. If you arent on our Discord Server then you can join at discord.gg/luges.
To all those who are new to LUGES, I sign off each newsletter with a Pro Tip that may or may not (usually not) be useful. Hope to speak with you all more at our events!
