Honorary Members

Brent Oates:
“Done a lot for the society on his own to make it better. Hosting different events and striving to make the society even better. “

Boma Iringe:
“Took up the mantle of leading the Bailrigg Tournaments both whilst in his role on the Committee and afterwards, raising a large amount of funds for the Society, and showing a commitment to making a mark on the national Smash scene both with Bailrigg and the Society.”

Henry Potts:
” During the annual Patriots events between Furness and Cartmel, Henry took over finding teams for both sides and setting up games when the JCRs of both colleges failed to act – something exceptional from a non committee-member and way above any expectations of even the Society who were originally only brought in to provide equipment.”

Ben Cowling and Mo Salawu
“During the same event as above, both acted with exceptional patience and capacity in the retrieval and setting up of equipment that was not originally requested, and assisted the JCR heavily in the running of the Patriots event despite the declining atmosphere as the event went on, and as the event grew more out of control.”

James Carruthers
“A long serving member who has been one of the faces of the society for many years. Always happy to give his assistance whenever needed”
