1289 Cave
La Secada VN52399788 Alt. 165m Length 131m

The excavated entrance slopes down to a small chamber where a talus cone (under the tight, original entrance pitch) will provide interesting material. Small pieces of pot have been found and there is the rim and side of a pot emerging from the calcited material. A squeeze down past stal leads to easy going in passage up to 8m wide and 10m high with some decorated sections (1  3  4). A second, excavated squeeze with a good draught enters further easy going past holes in the floor to where the floor meets the roof and chokes. The whole passage is quite well decorated with stal gours and some mushroom shaped stal.

A climb in the roof led to a small choked area with no draught.

A dig at the entrance slope goes down 10m of sloping rubble with a draught but no obvious way on.

The cave may be associated with the holes by the side of the main road, before Cueva de Bollón. See sites 1290, 1292 and 1293.
