Automatism is typical for abstract expressionism. Perhaps, the seemingly random techniques can be expressed as R code. What if a period of sine function could be randomly rotated, shifted and assigned a colour from a palette of five colours? What if the process was repeated 10000 times where sine waves are transformed so that all colours are uniformly distributed on the canvas? Doing so, traditional elements of painting such as difference in foreground and background, perspective and sense of centre are refuted.
