Design Guidelines for Human AI Collaboration

Since the start of this century, there has been a significant increase in the use of artificial intelligence technology in various segments of society to increase productivity and efficiency. This use of Artificial Intelligence in our daily lives has led to the rise of human-AI collaboration which means numerous challenges and opportunities at the same time. One of these challenges is the interaction between humans and AI systems through the user interface. In the past, there have been limited findings carried out in regard to user interface design in the field of Human AI collaboration. Our research aims to bridge this gap. And to help drive this research effort, our research paper explores the various types of existing guidelines being implemented and at the same time understand the implications of these design implementations. So future researchers interested in this field can be guided to implement appropriate Human-Computer Interaction guidelines for their Human-AI interaction-based systems. We believe that our work will be useful to a wide range of people, including industrial organizations intending to use AI in new products and researchers hoping to understand the current state of the field of Human-AI interaction.
