I'm from Vietnam, before joining STOR-i at the Lancaster University. I was a full-time math teacher in Ha Long city, Vietnam, at a high-school specialized in mathematics. My duty was preparing a small group of talents for national math competitions. I'm also an author of many new math exercises designed for high-school students that have been adopted widely in different high-schools in Vietnam. The reason I choose to join Stor-i is that my research interest includes theoretical optimization and statistical problems, and their applications to real-life scenarios. Besides, I would like to be part of an amazing team, working with and learning from talented students and experienced staff in these areas. Last but not least, I will try my best to contribute as much as I can to the team. Previously, I worked at the University of Arizona, USA, as a research technician on mathematical modeling of different biological and virus infection processes. I got a 1st/outstanding degree in mathematics from the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary.
Now, I joined the STOR-i program in October 2018 and completed the MRes component in September 2019. I am currently working on my Ph.D. project which is supervised by Professor Adam Letchford and Senior Lecturer Burak Boyaci and is in collaboration with Routeware, Inc. The title of the project is Exact and Heuristic Approaches to Arc Routing Problems.
