Maggie Mi, Year 3, Linguistics

Maggie MiOne of the highlights of my time at Lancaster has been annually attending the Undergraduate Research Conference series. In 2020, I helped to organise and run the first ever conference alongside the rest of the student conference support team. As per every year, it is great to see the conference going from strength to strength through widening the research community to our international partners and reaching more students. Looking back, participating in the conferences continues to be one of the most rewarding and intellectually invigorating experiences during my degree. It is through the conference that I can share my work with fellow students from across the globe and gain insightful feedback from the live discussions, whilst learning about a subject that is far more different than my own specialism.
