In a century of disasters (eScience 2012), deeper understanding of the relationship between disaster, mobilities, resilience and development is needed for improved policy and practice scenarios. This research focus brings together wide ranging interests in disaster mobilities, including:

  • informational mobilities in crises (e.g. BRIDGE, SecInCoRe)
  • crisis informatics and networked urbanism
  • vital mobilities
  • disaster tourism
  • critical infrastructure, infrastructuring
  • displacement, migration
