If the Mobile Utopia Experiments make ‘pockets’ of futures inhabitable, what’s the bigger picture?
What would future societies with a drift economy, autopoesisioning, alternative park-ing look like? What forms of government, healthcare, education would we have there? Is one person’s utopia another’s dystopia? Are the different experiments presenting conflicting visions or are they in harmony with each other?
Using citizen social science methods, we will crowdsource synthesis from an analysis of The Mobile Utopia Experiment.
The aim is to mobilise utopia as an integrative method, to explore how the diverse individual mobile utopia experiments might feature in a good mobile society.
Synthopia invites participants to explore timecapsules with objects curated from the future. It invites you to critically reflect on the individual mobile utopia experiments and draw things together to imagine social futures.
