How to navigate through the noise of social media and communicate effectively in disaster situations? Lise Ann St Denis, from the University of Colorado, Boulder, has visited CeMoRe to give a seminar on this topic.

Lise Ann St Denis has looked at a grassroots movement from within the emergency response community during some of the most devastating fires taking place in the USA in recent years. She follows the work of an innovative group of emergency responders as they try to make sense in the shortest time possible of the deluge of information carried through social media in times of crisis.
