Welcoming our 2017-2018 Visiting Fellows

Cemore has an established tradition of offering fellowships to scholars external to the university and we are delighted to be able to formally announce the arrival of our most recent fellows for 2017-2018. We welcome them all to Lancaster and hope that they find their time here to be a fruitful and valuable experience.

Dr Kai Syng Tan – Interdisciplinary artist, curator and researcher. She is currently Artist-In-Residence and Visiting Researcher at King’s College London, Visiting Fellow at UC’Ls Institute of Advanced Studies, and Director of RUN! RUN! RUN! (co-director by geographer Dr Alan Latham).

Cristina Temenos – Urban Studies Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Manchester Urban Institute and Geography Department at the University of Manchester.

Katarina Damjanov – Lecturer in digital media and communications design in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Western Australia.


 The department of Sociology, in association with Cemore, have awarded the first ever John Urry Fellowship to:

Gillian Youngs – Professor of Creative and Digital Economy and Head of Innovation and Impact in the Westminster School of Media, Arts and Design, University of Westminster. As of 1st May, Gillian is taking on the new role as Dean of Arts and Humanities at Canterbury Christ Church University.
