Participating in the European Research AgendaMark Priestley, University of Leeds AbstractThis paper presents initial findings and work in progress from participatory research with disabled people's organisations in 30 European countries. The project 'European Research Agendas for Disability Equality' (EuRADE) seeks to build the capacity of civil society organisations to participate in future research, and is a partnership between the European Disability Forum, University of Leeds (UK) and Maastricht University (Netherlands). The paper will focus on new findings that identify the research needs and priorities of disabled people's organisations in different countries. In this way, the research points to the development of user-led agendas for emancipatory research in Europe, and identifies opportunities for new international research collaborations between activists and academics. |
