The series’ broad focus on changing and complexly interdependent mobilities of people, objects, information and ideas allow a wide range of topics to be covered, including:
- Diverse forms of mobilities such as physical travel (migration, work, tourism), virtual travel and data flows (the Internet, search algorithms), communicative travel (letters, email, SMS), imaginative travel (through talk, literature and the media), and intersections between these different modes of mobility in different countries
- Complex socio-technical-material consequences, opportunities, challenges and risks for personal, public, economic, political, environmental, local and global relationships and forms of sociation, ethics and mobility justice
- Design, policy and governance relevant issues of changing mobile lives
- Security, risks, disasters and dangers – the diverse societal threats within which mobilities are implicated as both a problem and a solution
