(and Lat. Windows))
the beaked bird walnut like angle is assuredly less than
a rt [diagram]. Others of the piers are four shafts about a
central one: All grand in the highest degree, & their
capitals mighty, and magnificently fused together: Florid
with heads mixed - I cannot guess their time - the heads
are large and ugly, & not so delicate in cutting as those
of the outside capitals: Fig 3 is the section of that of
the five shafts - fig 4 of the bottom of that of the solid
pier: abaci & flower work alike: fig 5 the base of
all - I never saw so flat a one: worked with exquisite
shield decorated leaves like the outside ones.
Lateral But - to return to the upper windows of Canal towards
Windows bridge of sighs: Above are described the group furthest
from the sea - next to these is another similar
group:+ and then come two; attached: still of the
3rd order - but with a different section and a dentil
external instead of a roll. These are mostly described

carefully set by the stone. Applying C of the one
to C of the other, it is completed in No 86
The capital seen laterally is drawn in Fig 1 No 85.
Finally, on no 84 is given the description of the
