[diagram] No 68. A Ducal palace. Traceries 90
vid also the above head to the section of arch & tracery being
p 68 A p 95 as the dotted line opposite.
No 68 A - are traceres pressed from the actual stonework
Compare this section with those of the compare p of the Facade window furthest from Stonework centre,
window of Mad. dell Orto 95 next bridge of sighs End: Doge’s Palace 68 A. Upper
in house book small q foil: showing position of cusps: now distorted
and observe difference between this, which by the slipping of upper stonework: A, B, C, D, of No 68 A
s all, I think quadrant tracery - and the changeful 2 are the cusp points of the innermost or first order of the
cavetto, of the Ca d’Oro p 42 l cusp - these and the lines belonging to them only, could
be traced: the inner or second order line was added
by the eye. Join A1 and D1 then B1 & C1 should
evidently be above them, but for the slip of the stone
work: as it is the space a b between the actual
[diagram] cusp point is perhaps a little more even greater than it was
originally.
The section of the tracery bar, is precisely the same as that
of the other facade window on No 66 67 This has
also the double or flanked dentil - archivolt section
1 also the same: and all the windows are the same
outside and inside, having even the dentil on the inside of
the wall - with this exception, that the cusps have
another order always on the inside, as opposite, whether
cut through or not.
