No 68. A DUCAL PALACE TRACERIES
the above head to the section of arch and tracery
being as the dotted line opposite.
No 68 A A. are traceres pressed from the actual stonework

Compare this section with those of the bridge of sighs End: Doge’s Palace 68 A. Upper
window of Med. Dell Orto small q foil: showing position of cusps: now distorted
in house book by the slipping of upper stonework: A, B, C, D, of No 68
and observe difference between this, which A are the cusp points of the innermost or first order
is all, I think quadrant tracery, and the 2 of the cusp - these and the lines belonging to them only,
changeful cavetto, of the Ca d’Oro p 42 1 could be traced: the inner or second order line was
added by the eye. Joins A, and D, then B, and C, should
vide also evidently be above them, but for the slip of the stone
p 68 A p 95 work: as it is the space a b between the actual cusp
point is perhaps a little greater than it was originally.
The section of the tracery bar, is precisely the same as
that of the other façade window on No 66 67 This has also
the double or flanked dentil archivolt sectiob also the
same: and all the windows are the same outside and
inside, having even the dentil on the inside of the wall -
with this exception, that the cusps have another order
always on the inside, as opposite, whether cut through
or not.
