The videos are made by Lancaster University Television (camera, David Blacow; technician, Andrew Sellars) and encoded for transmission by Michael Bowen. For a discussion of the ethos behind their making, go to the ‘Progress Report’ page.

A public lecture in the Shire Hall, Lancaster Castle, on 'Beyond the Lancashire Witches: Writing and Freedom', Thursday 27 November 2014, featured a dramatisation by the Project team of the 1652 hearing against George Fox on a charge of blasphemy (Long Journal fols 45r-48v, probably from a verbatim shorthand account). This excerpt shows the ‘Trial’ section of the video.
