Registration and Accommodation

Conference Fees

The conference is supported by ESF, UK PPARC and we are pending support from UK EPSRC. For all eligible participants from ESF affiliated states, apart from a nominal registration fee of 50 GBP, conference meals and accommodation will be free. The registration fee will offset some of the accommodation costs.

For participants from non-ESF states we will charge a fee for the meeting of £372. This covers the cost of the conference (essentially conference meals and accommodation) plus a nominal registration fee. If you wish to bring an accompanying person the same fee will apply.

Please note that the quoted above fees will be increased by £10 if the payment is made by bank transfer.

Travel

Normal travel days will be on the 10th September and the 17th September. The conference will start with dinner and welcome party on the evening of the 10th September and will end with lunch on the 17th September. A shuttle service to Manchester airport will be organized on those two days. Accommodation on the Ambleside campus will not be available before the 10th or after the 17th. However, for anyone wishing to stay a few days longer in this beautiful area, there are many local and very reasonably-priced small hotels and boarding houses in the town and surrounding district, see for example http://www.amblesideonline.co.uk/.

There are some funds available which may be used to partially cover the travel costs of network members from the ESF states. The figure available depends on the number of participants who register. If you require some financial support for travel please indicate in the appropriate box on the registration form.

Accommodation

The accommodation will be largely in double rooms. If you wish to be housed with a preferred room-mate please indicate in the appropriate box. If you prefer to be housed in a single room (if possible) please indicate that also.
