STOR-i

The STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training operates at the interface between statistics, operations research, and industry.

The program is split into two components: the MRes year in year one, and then the PhD in years two to four. The MRes year is designed to build both mathematical and personal skills needed to successfully research and work in academia and industry.

The STOR-i experience also allows students to be exposed to a wide range of specialist external topics. These include annual masterclasses taught by subject experts, problem solving days where students work with industrial partners to solve real problems they face, and seminars where external speakers come to discuss their research and work.

This exposure allows students to further develop their mathematical and research skills. Furthermore, it ensures STOR-i alumni are well equipped with the range of skills they will need for their future careers.
