CeMoRe Visiting Fellowship

Date: 10 July 2014

In light of the success of the CeMoRe Visiting Fellowship scheme last year we are pleased to invite applications for the 2014-2015 scheme. The 2013-14 scheme funded visits by Ole B Jensen and Rachel Aldred - details of the events they organised and a blog about their visits is available now on the CeMoRe website.

Targeted at anyone, including artists, whose research interests intersect with those of CeMoRe, this fellowship, which must be taken-up between October 2014 and June 2015, comes with a £2,000 stipend which may be used to cover expenses such as travel, accommodation in Lancaster, and research activities during the fellowship. Fellows will be expected to spend a minimum of 1 calendar month in residence at CEMORE, and will be also expected to deliver 1 research seminar, 1 PhD student master class and to write a blog about your work at CeMoRe. Other commitments will be agreed as appropriate (e.g. guest lectures on undergraduate or Masters programmes).

We are looking to fund up to two fellowships, one to be held before February 2015, the second between April and June 2015. Exact dates for visits are negotiable.

To apply for the fellowship, please submit a CV with a 1 page covering letter detailing (1) how your research connects to CeMoRe, (2) what you plan to do during your time in Lancaster, (3) how you might build long term connections to the Centre via the fellowship. The CeMoRe Directorate will assess applications, ranking applications using the 3 criteria.

Deadline for applications is 12th September 2014; we hope to make decisions by the end of September 2014.

All applications should be submitted to Pennie Drinkall - p.drinkall@lancaster.ac.uk. Queries may be directed to Prof. James Faulconbridge (CEMORE Director of Research) - email j.faulconbridge@lancaster.ac.uk
