Lancaster Medical School
Lancaster Medical School is one of the newest departments at Lancaster University, consisting of the Lancaster Medical School, which delivers the MBChB degree, and CHICAS (Combining Health Information, Computation and Statistics), a research group that focuses on medical statistics and epidemiology.
Other research within the Medical School spans all aspects of Medicine including basic biomedical research, social and ethical aspects of health and medicine, and medical education.
In addition to the flagship MBChB Medicine programme, Lancaster Medical School offers a range of postgraduate research opportunities.
Medical School staff have a wide range of research interests including epidemiology and medical education, as well as social science and biomedical science subjects applied to medicine.
LMS staff conduct interdisciplinary research into the key issues of modern medicine, whilst providing challenging teaching and insightful guidance to future practitioners.
