EcoWild Adventures for Wellbeing

ECOWild is Green Lancaster's nature and wellbeing project and the ECOWild adventures provide our community with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural world through wildlife observation and mindful activities. The project is based around the theme of nature and wellbeing, underpinned by the 5 ways to wellbeing – enabling participants to connect, be active, take notice, learn and give – and the 5 pathways to nature connection to help them nurture their relationship with nature, through contact, beauty, meaning, emotion and compassion.

As for our ECOWoods project - all about ecological regeneration - action days take place every Friday morning, offering a great outlet to students looking to spend time outdoors and help nature recover. The sessions are hands-on and members take part in various activities depending on the time of year such as tree planting, wildflower meadow maintenance, hedgerow care, coppicing, natural building and more.
