Research Overview

In resolving the corporate rescue challenge in Nigeria, my research project explores global and regional business rescue practices - using regional legal solutions to solve complex national economic problems. My research interest involves corporate and commercial law, so that transplanting legal concepts and institutional practices can transform the coporate regulatory framework of Nigeria to a system of legal and economic acculturation. This requires the comparative approach to insolvency scholarship, and examines the effectiveness of Anglo-American corporate rescue tools in the context of African insolvences.
