Key subjects at Lancaster University are ranked among the world's elite and featured in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2016 published on www.topuniversities.com.
Lancaster is currently ranked 121 in the QS World University Rankings out of 945 institutions.
Some subjects have been ranked in the world top 50 with Linguistics ranked 15th in the world, Sociology 38th and Geography 46th.
Other subjects have been ranked in the world top 100: Art and Design, English, Modern Languages, Environmental Sciences, Accounting and Finance, Business and Management Studies, Communications and Media Studies, Statistics and Operational Research. Computer Science, Psychology and Education are ranked in the world top 150.
