Lancaster University is organised into four main faculties, each of which is comprised of multiple departments, institutes and centres:
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is one of the leading Faculties of its kind in the UK and the largest in the University. Our aim is to give all of our students an enriching experience of study and our teaching team includes internationally renowned scholars and researchers with interests spanning a range of disciplines.
The Faculty of Health and Medicine has an international reputation for excellence in research covering four broad areas: ageing, supportive and end of life care; mental health; public health; and infectious disease. Our biomedical research - including neurodegenerative disease, cancer biology, microbiology and immunology - is ranked top three in the UK.
Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is one of the UK's top business and management schools with world-class expertise in many fields. Triple-accredited and consistently listed in the UK's top five we are the only UK business school to rank highly across all major activities: undergraduate, MBA, masters, research, PhD and executive.
The Faculty of Science and Technology is one of the best in the UK, with an exciting span across core science and engineering and one of the country’s largest Environment departments. Our research addresses important scientific problems and technological challenges and we develop graduates who are scientifically skilled and highly employable.
