CARISMAND – Culture and RISkmanagement in Man-made And Natural Disasters
A Horizon 2020 funded project that explores the issues of preparedness, response to disasters and after-crisis recovery which is inevitably influenced by cultural background of individuals and the society they live in.
EDUCEN – European Disasters in Urban centres: a Culture Expert Network (3C – Cities, Cultures, Catastrophes)
Funded by the Horizon 2020 programme this project looks at the role of culture in disaster management and risk.
I-REACT – Improving Resilience to Emergencies through Advanced Cyber Technologies
An innovation project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, this project aims to use social media, smartphones and wearables to improve natural disaster management.
IMPACT – Impact of Cultural aspects in the management of emergencies in public Transport
A Horizon 2020 funded project that investigates the essential role played cultural factors in managing safety and security issues related to emergencies in public transport systems.
PLACARD interchange – PLAtform for Climate Adaptation and Risk reDuction
An online hub for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration between the climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) communities.
TACTIC – Tools, methods And training for CommuniTies and society to better prepare for a Crisis
An EU funded project under the Framework 7 programme, completed in April 2016, that aimed to increase preparedness for large-scale and cross-border disasters amongst communities and societies in Europe.
KnowRISK – Know your city, Reduce seISmic risK
An EU funded project under the EC’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) programme, that tries to facilitate local communities access to expert knowledge on non-structural seismic risk protection solutions. Scientific knowledge is turned into practical knowledge to be used by citizens and to engage communities in disaster risk reduction.
LifePrimes – Preventing flooding Risks by Making Resilient communitiES (website in Italian and English)
An EU funded project under the EC’s LIFE programme, the LifePrimes project aims to build resilient communities through their engagement and proactive participation in the operations of early warning and flood risk prevention measures. The project is conceived to respond to the European challenge in the area of adaptation management, in particular early warning integrated systems.

Action for the rights of children – resource pack, ARC, 2010
This comprehensive package for children’s rights contains seven foundation modules. Introductory slides provide an overview of the module. Each topic includes valuable training exercises and handouts. Particularly relevant are: Foundation Module 1,2,4,5,6 and Critical Issue 2 and 3.
