Joining the Graduate College?

Lancaster is proud to be one of only a handful of UK universities to have a collegiate system. We’ve nine colleges in total, eight for undergraduates and one - Graduate College - for postgraduates. Our colleges are more than just places to live; each has a unique community, where it's easy to make new friends with fellow students of many nationalities.

  • About The Graduate College

All postgraduate students are a member of the College community whether they live on or off campus. The college attracts students from all over the world, creating a unique opportunity to mix with and learn about other cultures. It offers all postgraduate students a relaxed and quiet environment with the support and facilities they need to concentrate on their work.

College members are invited to stand for the Postgraduate Board, a group of postgraduate students elected annually to serve and represent the University’s postgraduate students.

This diverse mix of City, Coast & Countryside adds a whole new dimension to the student experience - and whilst those studying at Lancaster have all the benefits of a campus 'village' at their disposal, there's so much more to explore and discover within the city and the local area.
