MBA projects

Students on the Lancaster MBA have an average of eight years' management experience. They undertake complex business, not-for-profit or public sector-based projects that have a strategic element.

There are three types of MBA project available each year:

This takes place over one week in early March. Student teams will be based in the organisation and will make an in-depth investigation into a business issue.

Output: presentation of preliminary findings followed up by in-depth report.
Cost: travel and subsistence cost only.

MBA Consultancy Challenge

This takes place early in the Summer Term. The review aims to provide a client organisation with some external help in relation to a highlighted problem area or opportunity.

Output: an executive report and presentation to the company's senior management
Cost: travel costs only

MBA Corporate Challenge

For a six-week period in mid-summer, our experienced managers are available to undertake an in-depth investigation of a complex issue or opportunity for an organisation and produce recommendations that are strategic in nature. Find out how your organisation could benefit.

Output: a detailed executive report and a presentation to the senior management team
