A Top Ten University
Lancaster is ranked top ten in the Guardian League table and is consistently highly placed in all major league tables. This latest result comes shortly after Lancaster was announced to be the highest placed UK university in the Times Higher Education 100 Under 50 ranking of the world's best young universities. Ranked 10th, a climb of 4 places, Lancaster is the highest ranked of only 14 UK universities to be listed.
Students at Lancaster University are among the most satisfied in the UK according to the 2015 National Student Survey, in which the University achieved 91% on the overall satisfaction score, placing it firmly amongst the top 10 UK universities.
Lancaster University has an alumni network of over 130,000 alumni in 183 countries worldwide.
New Sports Centre
Summer 2011 saw the opening of our brand new £20m Sports Centre, ranked sixth in the THE Student Experience Survey 2015.
97% of Lancaster University graduates have gone into work or further study within six months of graduating.
Lancaster University is a member of the N8 Group (which focuses on five areas of research: Ageing and Health; Energy; Molecular Engineering; Regenerative Medicine and Water) a research partnership of the top 8 most research intensive universities in the North of England.
More than £450m has been invested into the campus since 2002, creating new academic facilities, student social facilities and improved teaching space. We have award winning eco-residences, opened a £10m centre for the Creative Arts in 2010, and a brand new home for Engineering.
We have over 12,000 students across one of the safest campuses in the UK.
As one of the few collegiate universities in the UK we welcome each student to one of our colleges on campus. In addition to our eight undergraduate colleges, we have one dedicated to our postgraduate students.
