Founding Students Love To Lunch

1967 graduates, founders lunch get-together
1967 Graduates' Lunchtime Reunion Event

Following on from a successful reunion in 2017, a number of graduates who studied at Lancaster between 1964-1967 recently met up again for a London lunch event.

An informal lunchtime get-together of students who started at Lancaster in 1964 was held at Cote Restaurant in St. Christopher’s Place, off Oxford Street London, on July 17th 2018. Cote proved a great location and attracted 14 former students, who spent a number of hours catching up with others who had been at Lancaster in the University’s first years.

As founding students they are currently in the process of setting up a WhatsApp group to keep other members of the cohort informed about future meet ups, share photos etc. If you are also a founder member of the university and want to get involved, please email Den Winterburn den@imagineconsultants.com wIth your mobile number and we’ll make sure you are added as a member of the Lancaster1964 WhatsApp group.

The opportunity for retired LU graduates to meet at lunchtime has been welcomed by others in the cohort. Although the current lunchtime get-togethers for 1964-67 students are in London, there may be opportunities for reunions elsewhere and the group is always happy to give advice on setting up similar lunchtime get-togethers in cities across the country, so feel free to join the group and make some suggestions!
