Lancaster University alumni are invited to an alumni event hosted by Elizabeth Gaskell’s House and the Manchester Alumni Group Volunteers

This informal event is a great opportunity for alumni based in and around Manchester to socialise and network with one another.

Date: Thursday 8th February 2018

Time: 18.00 to 20.00

Venue: Elizabeth Gaskell's House, 84 Plymouth Grove, Manchester, M13 9LW

Charge: £6 which includes a tour and welcome drink and must be booked in advance

Format: This beautifully restored Grade II* listed house was once the home of Elizabeth Gaskell, the famous Victorian author of North and South, Cranford and Mary Barton. The house has been open to the public for three years, following a £2.5 million restoration project and is just 1 mile from the city centre, off Oxford Road.You can find out more about the house at www.elizabethgaskellhouse.co.uk.

Alumni will get a private tour and the opportunity to network at this beautifully restored historic house, which is currently managed by Sally one of our Manchester alumni group volunteers.Tours will take place between 6.30-7.30 and last approximately 45 minutes. The bar and tea room will also be open to purchase drinks and refreshments until 8pm.Booking is essential by 1 Feb 2018Availability: There are limited number of tickets for this event and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
