Complaints

Stage 1

If you need to make a complaint, please submit it in writing to your Accommodation Manager in the first instance. They will get in touch with you and do their best to resolve the matter for you as quickly as possible.

If your Accommodation Manager feels unable to resolve the complaint or problem they (or you) may escalate the complaint to a Senior Accommodation Manager or Head of Department.

The Accommodation Services team will always do their best to resolve your complaint at this stage, but if you are unhappy with the outcome or you feel that your complaint is unresolved you may then escalate your complaint to the formal stage 2.

Stage 2

You will find details of how to progress your complaint more formally and what this involves on the ASK service's Student complaints and appeals web page.

At any point during the complaint process you may contact the Students' Union Advice Service; which is a free non-judgemental and confidential support service.
