Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

LUMS is one of the few UK higher education institutes that offer my course, not to mention that Lancaster University is one of the top 10 UK universities.

What was the best thing about your course?

Apart from the exposure of issues faced regarding digital technology and management, I got to meet talented course mates and being friends with them.

What/who inspired you the most at LUMS and why?

In our course, we were divided into learning groups. I was inspired by my group mates to utilize time effectively and think critically. Their hard work and diligence inspired me to keep striving for betterment.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?

I did a client consultancy project for the dissertation, where we got to solve real challenges a company faced. Through working on both project and dissertation, I got the chance to create a mobile app prototype (which I never imagined of doing that before the course starts). It feels nice to know that you are not only getting a final grade, but you also made a real contribution toward a company.

Describe your time at LUMS in three words?

Awesomely eye-opening.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

Cooking dinner with friends on-campus; traveling with them to Lake District, Edinburgh & Glasgow; walking to the big Sainsbury's in the city from campus with my best friend; playing charade in the social event of the course.

What impact did scholarships or funding have on your degree experience?

The 50% bursary from the department made the degree experience more valuable, even from pre-departure. I can concentrate more on the studies and networking without having to worry financially.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

I participated in the Disciplined Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program held by the Enterprise team on June-July 2018, which gave me the framework and network to start a business.

What impact has your Lancaster experience had on your career?

The experiences I've had in Lancaster made me more confident in progressing forward for my career.
