On both the longest and warmest day of the year in late June, the Phyllis Court Club in Henley-on-Thames hosted an intimate reunion for the BBA Management Class of 2008, to celebrate winning the 'BBA Boomerang competition', part of a wider celebration of 20 years of the Lancaster BBA.
After a drinks reception on the lawn, alumni enjoyed live music and speeches followed by a BBQ buffet lunch. The group then took their seats in the club grandstand to watch qualifying for the Henley Women’s Regatta, before taking to the water themselves in rowing boats for the first Lancaster Alumni Race-up-the-River running alongside the famous Regatta course – this year won by the venerable Billson-Paul team!
“A fantastic day to reconnect with old BBA-ers celebrating not just the BBA 20th Birthday competition, but also our time and experiences as a group at Lancaster,” said Christopher Paul, who now manages a team of consultants at Accenture when not devising a winning rowing strategy.
Our thanks to Dan Buck and Libby Packham in the LUMS Alumni Office, and the hospitality team at Phyllis Court Club.
