Profile

Dr. Anas Iftikhar is an International Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods from the University of Salento, Italy in May 2021. During the doctoral program, he held a visiting researcher position at Ghent University (Belgium) and the Cardiff Business School at Cardiff University (UK). He also holds industry experience in the inventory planning and operations management area.

Anas Iftikhar’s research focuses on how supply chain capabilities in disruptive and complex environments improve resilience. In this area, he has published research articles in the leading Operations and SCM academic journals, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning and Control, Annals of Operations Research, and Journal of Business Research. He has also participated in and presented his research works at the international conferences, European Operations Management Association (EUROMA) annual conference, IFAC Conference on Manufacturing Modelling, Management & Control, and Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) society.
