Specific aspects we will seek include:

A track record of publications closely aligned to Security Lancaster’s objectives or theme areas.
A track record of or, in the case of early career academics potential for, grant funding in a security-focused area.
Demonstrable interest in engaging with Security Lancaster’s, CREST or the ACEs-CSR agenda and other researchers; including collaboration, mentorship and advice to colleagues.
A commitment to impact and external collaboration.

As a reminder, membership of the University’s research institutes is entirely compatible with membership of departmental or faculty research groups and centres, and all research funds obtained by Security Lancaster flow directly into departments. Many of our existing members are not from traditional security disciplines and we are happy to discuss with potential new members how their work might align with the institute's areas of activity.
