Media and Cultural Studies

Studying Media and Cultural Studies at Lancaster can be both exciting and life changing.

We will give you opportunities to think critically about the world around you, to develop your analytical skills, and to build an appreciation of the complexity and diversity of social life.

Our undergraduate students have the option of taking one or more years of film studies as a part of either single or combined major degrees. Our first year course in gender and women's studies also offers an excellent complement to undergraduate Media and Cultural Studies degrees. At higher levels of study, a flexible set of arrangements exist for pursuing interdisciplinary studies of media and cultural studies.
