*Note 1: For some Undergraduate programmes, the requirements will be different:

  • Some Science and Engineering courses require a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or Pearson PTE Academic 55.
  • Specific requirements for Medicine A100 - a minimum of IELTS (Academic, at least 7.0 in each component) or the Pearson PTE Academic qualification (at least 70 in each component) before applying.

***Note 3: IELTS certificates are valid for 24 months.  Your IELTS certificate will need to be less than 24 months old on the start date of your study at Lancaster.

If you do not meet the minimum English language requirement, you may be able to take a pre-sessional programme over the summer at Lancaster University.
