The PgCert in Sustainable Water Management combines modules in hydrology, water quality and ecology tailored towards developing skills relevant to a career in the water sector, either in the UK or overseas. You will be taught by world experts in the field, including staff of the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology within the Lancaster Environment Centre. Your studies will benefit from our strong research links with organisations which are involved with water quality control and supply in the UK, such as United Utilities, the Environment Agency, Defra and the UK Government Research Councils.
The course provides an opportunity for postgraduate learning and professional development for those who are unable to commit to a full MSc programme. It can be taken as an intensive course over one or two terms, or could be spread over two years for those studying part-time. The award of a PgCert requires the successful completion of four 15 credit modules, selected from the modules available on the MSc Sustainable Water Management.
