Postgraduate Open Days
At Lancaster, we’re proud to be known not only for the excellence of our teaching and the employability of our graduates, but also for our safe and friendly campus. The low cost of living at Lancaster means that our students are better able to cope with the current financial climate, and with easy access to campus by both road and rail, this makes Lancaster the ideal university city.
This year, our annual Postgraduate Open Day took place on Wednesday 25th February. Visitors had the opportunity to explore what Lancaster has to offer, take a tour of campus, and view our excellent academic facilities and social spaces as well as our award-winning accommodation.
Academic and admissions staff from departments across the University were on hand throughout the day to answer questions and spend time with visitors one-on-one to talk through their options for study at Lancaster.
Visitors were also able to look at the practical side of postgraduate study, with talks on fees and funding opportunities, and had the chance to chat with some of our current students.
The Postgraduate Open Day Programme is still available to view online should you wish to download a copy for reference.
Our next Postgraduate Open Day will be in February 2016.

Contacting departments and academics directly
If you are considering a research degree then you may find it useful to make contact with the relevant department or academic in the first instance. You can find contact details for our research staff and a full departmental list.
If you're still uncertain about the postgraduate programme that's going to be right for you, you can view our course listings for information on both our taught programmes and research degrees.
On the day, our academic staff and admissions tutors will be happy to discuss with you the potential suitability of different degree programmes according to your own research interests.
