I am a Ph.D. candidate in Design at ImaginationLancaster, Lancaster University, UK. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s Degree in Design from the Design School, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, China, with a focus on smart home design, Product design, Furniture design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, and User-Centered Design.

Currently, I am specializing in design research and participatory speculative design methods, with a focus on the intersection of loneliness, aging, and smart technologies. My research explores the use design methodologies can help understand and reimagine the experiences of loneliness among older adults, an exploration of the role of smart technologies in alleviating or amplifying loneliness in later life, critically and creatively exploring the relationship between loneliness and smart technologies in the context of future aging.
