Lancaster has a number of strategic partnerships teaching validated Lancaster degrees. Four are based overseas in Ghana, China, Malaysia and, most recently, Germany, and five in the UK.
Our UK teaching partners
Blackburn College has a long history of offering degrees and Higher Education qualifications awarded by Lancaster University. Blackburn College offers over 100 different Higher Education qualifications with the opportunity to join an extensive range of Lancaster University awarded Honours degrees, Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees with Foundation Entry. These have lower entry requirements whilst still enabling students to achieve a Lancaster University awarded degree. Similarly, the College offers a range of Lancaster University awarded Degree-Level Apprenticeships for students who wish to study while working full-time.
Courses cover disciplines as diverse as Accounting and Business, to Counselling, Engineering, the Creative Arts, English, History, Politics, Sociology and more. Students are able to study in seminar-sized classes with the support of specialist tutors and staff who support students to achieve Lancaster University awarded degrees in Blackburn, with a generous financial support package and lower Tuition Fees than many Universities. Blackburn College’s curriculum is designed to encourage students to fit study around work and other commitments.
Students study in a dedicated University Centre with facilities designed specifically for Higher Education students including dedicated libraries and social spaces.
93% of Blackburn College graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduation and the National Student Survey results show students recognise the Quality of Teaching, Assessment and Feedback, Academic Support and Personal Development at Blackburn College. Indeed, these are all rated above the national rate for England in the National Student Survey (NSS and Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE), known outcomes, 2018).

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC)
B&FC is the largest college provider of degree-level education in England, with more than 50 degrees awarded by its associate partner, Lancaster University. With commendations from The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), B&FC also has the highest possible gold rating in the government's Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
We hold the Standalone National Excellence and Innovation Award 2018 for supporting degree students and are in the top third of HE providers in the UK for student satisfaction (NSS). Nine out of 10 B&FC graduates are in work within 6 months of graduating, earning an average starting salary of £25,500 - c25% higher than the national average (2016-17 DLHE Survey & graduate-jobs.com).Blackpool & the Fylde College
Furness College is the largest provider of Higher Education in South Cumbria with more than 30 years’ experience of delivering university-level programmes in Barrow. The college is an established partner of Lancaster University offering a range of degrees accredited by Lancaster University, including engineering.
Degrees can be studied full or part-time at the £47million Channelside campus to ensure flexibility for those who are studying and working. The college is rated silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework – the highest award in Cumbria – and its sixth form also partners with Lancaster University to deliver the Honours programme for top achievers.Furness College
International Study Centre
Based on our Lancaster campus, the International Study Centre provides students that require it with the opportunity to take a foundation course or top-up course, so that they can progress to a degree at Lancaster University the following year
An International Foundation Year allows you to progress to a broad range of undergraduate degree choices at Lancaster University, and our Pre-Masters Programme enables you to progress to postgraduate study at the University.
