Doctoral Supervision

Our research students usually work with two supervisors, often with one as the lead supervisor. Colleagues working primarily within Literary Studies sometimes co-supervise in Creative Writing and vice versa. In addition, some colleagues supervise study that fuses the two disciplines. Occasionally, a co-supervisor is brought in from another discipline.

If thinking of applying, we would warmly encourage you to contact the School of Arts’ Director of Doctoral Research – Professor Catherine Spooner. You may also, if you wish, contact a potential supervisor or co-supervisor.

Contact details can be found on the School of Arts staff page.
