Lancaster University has launched LUCA (Lancaster University Careers Assistant), a new AI-powered platform designed to help students when applying for jobs. Built in collaboration with the ISS Innovation Hub and the Careers Service, LUCA is a secure and trusted Careers AI platform created specifically to support students in securing internships, work experience, and graduate roles.

LUCA helps students to feel more confident and prepared throughout the job application journey. It works as a careers companion you can use anytime, giving you practical, personalised support exactly when you need it

Students can use LUCA to:

• Analyse job adverts and understand what employers are really looking for
• Improve CVs with targeted, section-by-section feedback
• Create stronger, tailored cover letters
• Practise interviews with instant, structured feedback

Everything is designed to help you build better applications and perform more confidently at every stage. Importantly, LUCA doesn’t replace the Careers Service—it strengthens it.
