Research Overview

My research interest broadly tackles educational futures as linked to issues and complexities of material and social futures, via interdisciplinary approaches to knowledge, research, curriculum and pedagogy. This incorporates concepts such as visual, material and digital culture, a semiotic theory of knowledge, socio-materiality, multimodality, critical theory and critical media literacy. I am particularly interested in exploring a relational ontology at the nexus of “the society(cultural and ideological production) - ecosystem - material artefacts (e.g. technology)”, as a reciprocal approach to co-existence of all things. My scholarship also includes critical approaches to the construct of graduate employability, identity, and contemplations of post constructs such as post-digital, post-human and post-truth.
