Centre for Social Justice and Wellbeing in Education

The Centre for Social Justice and Wellbeing in Education is a vibrant network of active researchers engaged in exploring questions about equity, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing in education. Our research spans a wide range of formal and informal education environments including schools, higher education, home and the workplace.

We work with an impressive range of stakeholders: education practitioners; activists; advocacy and lobby groups and NGOs; learners and students; families; radical educators; policy makers.

Our research coheres around a radical ethic of kindness. It aims at positive change and focuses on learning within a broad range of contexts.

The current directors are Beth Garrett and Carmen Martinez Vargas.
