The Festival of Languages 2025, running online from June 16th to July 4th, offers a range of free, engaging activities and resources for schools and groups in the North West.

Organised by Routes into Languages North West, a collaboration between Lancaster University, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Manchester and the University of Liverpool, the festival aims to inspire children and young people to explore the world of language, culture, and creativity. The festival is held online over a three-week period and includes over twenty sessions covering a range of topics and world languages, such as taster sessions in various languages (Japanese, Portugese, Catalan, Dutch, and Italian) as well as other creative and cultural events.
